Older siding, small yards and tight driveways
Many homes in the borough date from the middle of the last century. They often have aluminum or vinyl siding that has chalked or faded, concrete steps and narrow driveways shared with a neighbor. Chalky aluminum siding can rub off on rags and brushes, so we test a small spot before washing it.
Yards are small, and cars are often parked on the street, which limits where a truck can stand. Fences and sheds sit close to the property line, and gutters sometimes overflow onto the wall below, leaving long green or black streaks. Fixing the gutter is as important as cleaning the wall. We point these things out when we visit, so cleaning lasts longer and you can decide what else to repair.
