Pollen, leaves and farm dust in a semi-rural setting
Living near fields and woodland brings its own mess. Spring pollen coats cars, decks and siding in yellow, fall leaves leave brown tannin marks on boards and concrete, and dust from nearby farm lanes settles on walls and windowsills. Insects and spiders build nests under eaves and on porch ceilings.
Many properties here have long gravel or concrete driveways, outbuildings, wood fences and barn-style sheds. Washing these takes a different approach from a town rowhouse. Gravel is left alone, concrete gets stronger cleaning, and old wood fences and sheds need low pressure so the grain is not torn up. Access can mean long hose runs, and a well or limited water supply is something to mention when you ask for a quote.
